15 months old and what's been going on at our house

I have missed a few monthly update posts on Hudson!  I could just kick myself.  It really has been a little crazy around here.  Ill get back to that later.

Hudson is now into his 15th month of life!  Time has really gone by so fast.  He is really talking now and has a nice little vocabulary.
  • blue - bu
  • red - reee
  • yellow-  lellooo
  • green - gwee
  • hello
  • baby
  • mama
  • daddy - dadee
  • Mickey Mouse - Mecy mo
  • banana - nana
  • slide
  • I love you - I laa lu
  • there - dare
  • no
  • yes -ye
I'm sure there's more I'm missing, plus he seems to say something new every day.

He is wearing size 18 clothes and size 4 or 5 diapers.  He is in a size 6 shoe.

Hudson started feeding himself with a spoon or a fork (baby fork with rounded edges).

His favorite foods right now are:
  • bananas, he eats one almost every morning for breakfast
  • yogurt, vanilla greek
  • baby cookies (health nut right?!?!)
  • plain baby oatmeal made with milk (he has been sick and I think he likes this because it fills him up and is bland)
  • green smoothies (spinach, carrots, apples, bananas, broccoli, berries)

Unfortunately, Hudson is still battling fevers!  I don't know what is going on around here, but our whole family has been sick on and off since the beginning of November.  In fact, Hudson is going back to the doctor again this afternoon to get checked out.  It feels like we are there every week.  We aren't alone though.  We know so many families who are struggling with the same issues.  UGH  I just hope this is the end of it and we all recover soon!  Our house has been sprayed down with lysol and disinfected with wipes multiple times to try to kill any viruses that might be hanging around.

Even thought Hudson has been under the weather lately he has been in a remarkable mood.  He is always so happy and funny.  His little personality is just the sweetest.  I love him so much.  This age is really so fun!

As I was saying earlier, things have been a little chaotic at our house.  We got back and finished with all the Holiday activities.  Then everyone in our house came down with a cold or virus.  Shortly after that we found a house we LOVED.   WE met with realtors and decided to go for it.  We had a showing at our house (a lot of cleaning had to be done before that).  The family loved our house and wanted a second showing.  We did a final walk through on the how we fell in love with and were ready to put in an offer when we found... dun dun dun MOLD!  It was a mess and totally disappointing.  After a lot of discussion we decided not to go through with the purchase of that home.  We searched and searched for another house, but couldn't find anything we were happy with.  The family that had been looking at our house wanted to make an offer (of corse that would happen) be we had to tell them the situation and take our house off the market.  There is absolutely nothing else out there that we want!  So, we are going to keep looking, and hopefully in the spring we will find something we like and start the whole process over agin!  haha

Wow, I'm exhausted (both physically and mentally) from thinking about all that has happened in the past few weeks.

O, and Steve and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary!  These we taken before Steve and I headed out to celebrate.  We went to dinner at a nice restaurant here in town.  It amazes me how fast time goes by!  Four years have already passed sense our wedding day.  I love Steve more and more every day and look forward to many (many many many many) more years together.

That brings us to today.  All of us are recovering and or have colds (or a virus).  Hudson goes to the doctor and I'm watching a friend's babies this afternoon while she takes her other kiddo to the doctor.  O and our house is really clean right now.  I wonder how long that will last.  hehe

**** Steve took him to the doctor on Friday and we found out he had another double ear infection, so now he is taking antibiotics and that seems to be helping.  He still has a low fever and lots of congestion and drainage, but I think he is slowly getting better*****
