Pregnancy Symptoms....I hope

So far this pregnancy has been mild.  I mean there haven't been the emotional ups and downs that I had with Hudson.  Also, after the morning sickness phase ended, I have been feeling great.

Now, all of the sudden, I'm getting the dreaded leg cramps, the "uncomfortable" feeling, exhaustion, and getting extremely irritated with people.  blah  WHERE DID THIS COME FROM?!?!  Lord help me with these pregnancy hormones and not to say anything that I will regret later.

Baby Kicks!

Over the past few weeks Alexis's kicks have been getting stronger and stronger.  She seems to be most active at night right before I go to bed, but that could also be because I'm not as busy and can focus on it.  Anyway,  STEVE got to feel her kick today!  He has been trying for days but with no luck.

Tonight, her kicks were really strong and frequent so I told Steve he should try.  After a few seconds of not feeling anything he gave up.  I told him he was impatient and that she had kicked three times just in the minute he took his hand away.  So, he put his hand back and immediately felt a big unmistakeable kick!  haha That's my girl!

I love feeling her move.  It really is unlike anything....  It isn't bubbles, it isn't really like getting kicked.  Its really feels like someone is poking around at your insides.  haha

Alexis,

We are all getting ready for your arrival in just a few short months.  Daddy and I are preparing Hudson to become your big brother.  He loves you so much already!  It's really sweet!  We have also been working on getting your room together.  I can't wait for you to see it!  :)  It isn't your typical baby nursery.  It's fun and bright.  Hopefully it will be completely finished after the Holidays.  It's hard to imagine that this time next year we will be celebrating Christmas as a family of 4!

We (your whole family) love you so much already and are praying for your health, delivery, and future.  Keep growing my love.  Take your time.  I love you more than you will ever understand.

Love,
Mommy, Daddy, and Big Brother Hudson

28 Years Old!

My 28th Birthday was Tuesday!

I have to say, the older I get the less I want a celebration and the more I want to just spend good quality time with my husband and son.

I decided to do what I LOVE on my birthday...DECORATE FOR CHRISTMAS!  hehe  My day started with oatmeal and a homemade pumpkin spice latte, a Christmas movie, and nice walk.  Then Hud and I got a few supplies for our tree.  We spent the whole day fluffing, putting on lights, making bows....  IT WAS AWESOME!

When Steve got home we all went out for dinner.  I couldn't decided what I wanted (thanks weird pregnancy cravings) so we drove around until we found something that sounded good.  We ended up eating at a fun Cuban restaurant.  Hud was a crazy hyperactive two year old, so we spent most of dinner trying to pull him up off the floor and out from under the table.  When we got home, Steve surprised me with an ice cream cake and we ended the evening playing with Hud's toys in the basement for an hour or so.  Hud loved building towers and then "looking through the windows".  He is so stinking cute!

I couldn't have asked for a better birthday!  28 is going to be a great year!  I can just feel it!  :)

I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!

21 weeks with Alexis

Today I am 21 weeks with Miss Alexis Grace!

According to my baby app. Alexis is the size of a banana!  She has really been moving around a lot more.  I love feeling her little kicks.  I forgot what a wonderful feeling that was....

This past Saturday I had a panic attack because the pregnancy is half finished and we still having done anything to prepare....  With Hudson, we had our furniture and bedding already in.  His room had been painted, and he had most of the gear we needed.  I felt completely behind especially because we are doing both Alexi's room AND Hudson's room AND I have decided to make (yes make) all the bedding, curtains, pillows, blankets for the kids!  Shoooo What have I gotten myself into.

Anyway, so I was having a bit of a meltdown this weekend and just feeling completely behind and overwhelmed.  Steve took pity on me and we spend our entire Saturday looking at paint, furniture, and gear.  We found paint for both rooms and got a good deal on that.  Then we found the mattress and box set for Hud.  Finally, we went to Babies R Us where we purchased all of Alexis's furniture and got gear for both her and Hudson (diapers, wash, pacifiers, toddler rails...).

I feel so much better now!  Next weekend mom and dad are coming to paint both kids rooms.  I was going to do it myself (my doctor gave me the OK) but the sales person at the paint store scared the you know what out of me.  My parents said they would feel better if I didn't do it too, so they are going to make the trip to help us.  I am so thankful to have such selfless and willing parents.  EVERYTHING IS COMING TOGETHER!

At 21 weeks my only complaint are those pesky leg cramps!  I get them in the middle of the night, but right now it's not horrible.  Thank God!

Halloween/Trick-Or-Treat

Due to bad weather yesterday, we celebrated Halloween tonight!  Hud got to go trick or treating for the very first time!  We were preparing all day!  We worked on saying "Happy Halloween" "Trick-or-Treat" "ROOOAARRRR, I'm a dinosaur" and "Thank You"!  hehe

When Hudson went to his first few houses, he was nervous and very apprehensive.  After that he was good to go!

Isn't he just the cutest little dinosaur you have ever seen!!!!!

Hudson and his babysitter Ella "Miley"!  He loves her!

Back at home after all the excitement, Hudson sat down and started opening all his loot!  haha  he was exhausted!
