20 weeks pregnant with baby #2 AKA Alexis Grace

At 20 weeks, baby farmer is the size of a banana.

This past week I 100% for sure felt the baby move!  I was honestly getting a little worried because with Hud, I thought I felt him moving much earlier.   All my worries were put to sleep this past week though.  While on vacation, I felt the baby kick many times.  She seems to be most active at night, right before bed.

I forgot how good it feels to have a baby kick.  It is truly amazing.

I also started having serious leg cramps in the middle of the night.  I do remember this with Hudson, and can't say I was all too thrilled about this part of pregnancy.

All in all, everything is going perfectly.   I couldn't ask for a better pregnancy.  I have my 20 week ultrasound and doctors appointment this week and am anxiously awaiting good news.  :)  I want to hear that the baby is happy and healthy and that we are for sure having a baby girl.  haha  Once we get this ultrasound, we will start making purchases for our newest addition.

***** Anatomy Scan *****

Alexis Grace looked 100% perfect today at the anatomy scan.  The doctor said that her heart, kidneys, stomach, brain.... all looked great!  She has all her fingers and toes.  Steve and I are over the moon!  The doctor gave me an information card on my way out about scheduling a tour and classes....  That really hit home.  I can't believe we will be welcoming our little girl into our family in just a few weeks!  This pregnancy is going so fast!

Our sweet little girl's pretty face!

Look at those tiny cute fingers!!!

We are 100% having a little girl!  4th opinion, and it's finally sinking in!

Ocean Isle Beach Vacation 2013

We decided to go on vacation with Steve's family again this year.  Every year for the past thirty years, Steve's family has gone to Ocean Isle Beach.  His parents go for two weeks, but we just came for the last week.  Steve's Brother's family came as did his aunt and uncle.

Ocean Isle Beach in October is pretty quiet.  It is not touristy  and extremely family oriented.  The beaches are large, the ocean is beautiful, and the weather is great this time of year!  We left last Friday October 18th and drove part way there and got to OIB early Saturday afternoon.

This year, my parents came down for part of the week.  It was so fun having everyone together.

We had a wonderful week.  It was wonderful watching Hudson play and interact with his cousins (Andrew and John)!  They are so good with him.  It is so sweet to see them together.

The week went by fast and it was great getting to visit with everyone.  However, I am happy to be home.  :)

I almost forgot Steve's 30th Birthday celebration!  He turned the big 3-0 on Friday!  We went out to a nice restaurant for dinner and then came back to the hotel for cake, ice cream, and games.  I can't believe my husband is now in this 30's!  It's so weird!  We met when I was 19 and he was 21.  He took it well though and is excited for everything this decade will hold.

18 weeks, Baby Girl Farmer

Today  baby girl Farmer is 18 weeks!  Wooooo

I'm so excited that everything is going so well thus far.  I am feeling good and think I've started feeling baby girl Farmer move.

At 18 weeks I am in mostly maternity clothes and feeling big.  This past weekend I was in one of my best friend's wedding and was so honored to be part of the bridal party.   I felt like a cow, but wouldn't have missed it for anything.  She was stunning and the day was perfect.

I am feeling great now.  Nothing crazy going on.

I go back at the end of the month for our Anatomy Scan, so thats fun.

Hudson is 2 years old!

Hudson (we) had THE BEST DAY today!  Steve and I got up early and blew up lots of balloons and finished decorating.  When Hudson got up, we had streamers hanging from his door and tons of balloons out in the hall.  He freaked out and got so excited.  We played with balloons for a good 30 minutes before going downstairs for breakfast.  We of corse sang happy birthday many many times today.  He loved it.  We had chocolate croissants for breakfast then Hud got to open a few gifts.

After breakfast we hopped in the car and headed to the zoo to spend the morning.  It was so fun walking around looking at all the animals.  We were shocked that so many animals were out and up close letting us take good pictures.  WOW  I think Hudson's favorite exhibit was the orangoutangs.  They were right up against the glass, climbing, twirling, and swinging.

We went to Chick-fil-a for lunch and went home so Hudson could have a nap.  When he woke up, Hud got to open the rest of his gifts and play for a while before going to dinner.  When we got home we sang "Happy Birthday" again and Hudson blew out the candles.  We all ate cake and ice cream then played with all his new toys.  :)  It was seriously THE BEST DAY!

I can't believe Hudson is two years old today.  I also can't believe that this will be the last birthday for Hudson as an only child.  We made it as special as possible and I think it was a huge success.  We love you so much Hudson and can't imagine life without you.  You are amazing and funny and sweet and kind.  We can honestly say you are the best and most adorable little boy that ever existed.  We are so thankful we were chosen to be your parents.
