Hudson is 10 months old today!

Hudson,

I know every month I say this, but it is true.  It is so hard to believe you have been with us for 10 months already.  It doesn't seem possible.  Every second you have been here has been perfect and amazing.  Your dad and I talk all the time about how happy we have been with you in our lives and how it just doesn't seem real sometimes (even after 10 months).  You are the sweetest, happiest, funniest, most loving, cutest little baby in the whole world.  WE LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU!

You have the best personality!  You love to laugh and smile at everyone.  People tell us all the time that we have such a friendly and happy baby.  You don't know a stranger.  Did I mention I love your laugh?  It is the best sound.  You love to play with everything.  We have been putting some of your toys away and rotating them because you are getting tired of them so quickly.  This way it's like you are getting new toys every few days, but really you just haven't seen them for a while.  You love to open cabinet doors and pull out all the contents.  You pull your self up to stand all the time.  You have even started letting go and trying to balance for a few seconds.  You can wave and clap, but I don't think you know what it really means yet.  You say mama a lot, especially when you want something or are upset.  You love bath time and are the best little sleeper these days.  At this point, you are taking two naps a day and sleeping most of the night.  You go to bed between 8-9:00pm and wake up between 6-8am.  You are eating 3 meals a day, and nursing about 4-5 times.  You are a speedy crawler and you love to make a run for all the things you aren't supposed to!  haha  It's like a game for you.  If you see me coming after you, you laugh and crawl even faster toward whatever dangerous thing you are trying to reach.  You can climb stairs all by yourself (only when someone is right there next to you).  At your Grandparents house this past weekend you started playing fetch with yourself.  You throw a toy then crawl after it.  Then throw it again and this goes on until someone stops you.  You aren't really saying any words yet, but you talk all the time.  It is hilarious!

Your daddy and I are the luckiest parents on earth.  We couldn't have asked for a better baby to bless our home.  You are and have been such a joy in our lives.  I feel so fortunate that I get to stay home and take care of you.  We always have so much fun and the days just seem to fly by.  I thank God every day that He chose me to be your mommy.  I am so excited about what the future holds for you, but want to enjoy every single second, not wishing precious moments away.  Tomorrow will come soon enough.

Happy 10 Month Birthday my beautiful baby boy!  We love you more than life itself.  We loved you as soon as we found out about you and will continue to love you until our last breath and far beyond.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy

A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.
Vincent van Gogh

A babe in the house is a well-spring of pleasure, a messenger of peace and love, a resting place for innocence on earth, a link between angels and men.

I still like to play with my jumper, just not in it.

A tornado named Hudson hit our living room early today.
