Well, we had our second home inspection and appraisal on Tuesday. Steve and I have been anxiously awaiting the response/requests from our new buyer. Of corse, we kept thinking the worst possible sanerio....
Well, we got the much anticipated e-mail today regarding the buyers requests... NOT TOO BAD. There was a short list of about 7 things and nothing on the list was major! It is nothing even close to what we were afraid was coming our way. YEA!!!!! This is very different from the first list we received just a few short weeks ago from CRAZY LADY BUYER 1! I can't tell you how happy we are with this outcome! :) This just feels so right. We don't feel the stress or pressure with this buyer. I just know this is going to work out.
Now my only concern is that we don't have time to get these things done before our closing date. The month of May is seriously CRAZY busy for us. We really only have a handful of days that we can work with and even those days we will need to be packing.... We looked at the calendar and of the 31 days in may, we will only be around for 11. And of those 11 days, only 5 are completely free days. The other 6 days at home we already have commitments and/or appointments! Can you tell I'm a little stressed over here?!?!
Anyway, the main point of this post was to share how happy we are with the outcome of the inspection and how happy we are with our new (much more reasonable) buyer!
I really do hope this new family will be happy in our home. Is it weird that I want to leave them a card or a note telling them that I have been praying for them and their happiness in the future?!?! I want to tell them that I pray that this house is a place of peace and a happy home for them to make many wonderful memories. Weird?? hummmm I'll think about that a little more..... :)
One last thing. It is amazing how people are more willing to compromise and work with each other when one is not threatening or attempting to bully the other. We have found that when people approach us with a good attitude we are much more willing to help them out....
Advice: You kill more bees with honey... If you want someone to do something for you, you have a much better shot of getting what you want when you are kind, considerate, and respectful than if you are demanding and forceful.
